Gold climbs slightly

NEW YORK, July 5 (UPI) — Gold futures rose slightly Tuesday as equities on Wall Street ended a winning streak of five trading sessions.
On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold prices added $2.70 to $1,515.40 per troy ounce.
Crude oil prices added $2 to reach $74.07 per barrel for August delivery of West Texas Intermediate.
The euro fell to $1.4418 from Friday’s $1.4429. Against the yen, the dollar rose to 81.10 yen from Friday’s 81.07 yen.
The dollar was stronger in most of Asia and Europe. The dollar index, a pro-rated measure of the greenback against six major currencies, was flat, off 0.01 percent to 74.63.
