WASHINGTON, July 22 (UPI) — Pleasanton, Calif., firm Ross Stores Inc. is recalling 1,200 Acacia chairs that can collapse with weight placed on them, U.S. regulators said.
The firm has received five reports of chairs collapsing with four reports of minor injuries, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.
The chairs involved in the recall are made of acacia wood and were sold with a natural finish. They were sold with SKU number 400058432585 or 400058432608, which is printed on a label on the front of the seat.
The chairs were imported from Vietnam and sold at Ross Stores nationwide from March 2011 through May 2011 for about $40.
Consumers were advised to return to stores to a Ross store for a full refund.
